Stop Missing Opportunities!

Sara is an experienced business coach with over five years of helping women entrepreneurs thrive in their businesses. A few months ago, she started writing her first book—a guide to empower women to scale their businesses and live more fulfilling lives. Excited and enthusiastic, she drafted the outline and wrote a few chapters. But soon, life and work got in the way. Client projects, training, workshops, and personal commitments took her time, and the book started collecting dust.

Opportunities started pouring in. Sara was invited to speak at conferences, give training sessions, and collaborate with other high-profile coaches. Every time, people would ask her, "When is your book coming out?" or say, "I can't wait to read your book!" Sara knew her book would be the perfect way to extend her message beyond coaching sessions, reaching a larger audience and giving her clients a lasting resource.

Yet, weeks turned into months. Sara procrastinated, constantly telling herself she'd get back to writing, but the demands of her business always took priority. Every opportunity where her book could have made a difference felt like a missed chance. She could see how a published book would enhance her credibility, make her stand out at conferences, and give her clients something tangible to walk away with. But without it, she felt a growing sense of frustration.

Despite knowing how valuable her book would be, Sara felt trapped in the cycle of starting and stopping, always promising herself "soon." And every time someone asked about her book, the unfinished manuscript weighed heavier on her mind.

Sara finally reached a breaking point after another high-profile event, where she was asked, once again, “When is your book coming out?” She realised that, despite her best intentions, she couldn’t do it alone. The demands of her coaching business were too high, and she needed more than willpower—she needed accountability and support.

That’s when a fellow coach recommended an accountability mastermind. This group comprised like-hearted professionals writing their books and facing similar struggles. They met fortnightly to share progress, set goals, and hold each other accountable for completing their writing.

At first, Sara was cautious. She’d always prided herself on self-sufficiency and didn’t think she needed outside help to stay on track. But as she thought about it, she realised how valuable the mastermind could be. Not only would it provide structure and deadlines, but it would also surround her with others who understood the unique challenges of writing while managing a business.

Sara joined the mastermind and noticed a shift in her mindset. Having a group that checked in on her progress gave her the push she needed. She set specific writing goals based on her outline each week; knowing she’d have to report back to the group kept her focused. When she felt overwhelmed or stuck, the book coach and other members offered advice, shared their experiences, and reminded her why finishing the book was important.

Internally, Sara felt a mix of relief and renewed motivation. It was comforting to know she wasn’t alone in this journey. Being part of the group permitted her to prioritise her writing, something she had struggled with before. She now understands that asking for help wasn’t a sign of weakness but a strategy for success.

Now, instead of avoiding the question, “When is your book coming out?” Sara had a confident answer, knowing she was on track to finish—and this time, she meant it.

If you're like Sara, you can be assured that you've got the solution by joining the SGTD accountability mastermind and subscribing to a quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly subscription—whichever suits your goal’s life span.
